The University of Namibia (UNAM) is the national university of Namibia, located in the capital of Windhoek. Established by an act of National Assembly on 31 August 1992, UNAM includes Colleges of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Economics & Management Science Education, Humanities and Social Science, Law, Medical & Health Science, and Science. The University of Namibia is the only institution to offer a doctorate in the study of the Nama language. Notable professors at the University of Namibia have included Bience P. Gawanas, Andre Du Pisani and Peter Katjavivi. External links |
