Technologies include the Mobile Device Gateway which enables passengers to wirelessly sync their personal electronic devices with Bluetooth connectivity. Also slim seating which provides more room for rear seat occupants that uses less metal and material, reducing vehicle weight and improving fuel efficiency. BUILDING EFFICIENCY - provides energy-saving technologies for residential and commercial buildings worldwide. These technologies include heating ventilating and air conditioning systems. climate control, lighting, fire, security, renewable energy, building automation, corporate real estate portfolio planning and related building environment needs. POWER SOLUTIONS - supplies energy-efficient batteries for automotive, commercial and marine applications. Its joint venture, Johnson Controls-Saft, opened the world’s first lithium-ion hybrid vehicle battery production facility in Nersac, France in 2008. It is a major recycler of automotive batteries.
