The Japan Hot 100 Singles (also known as Japan Hot 100) is a music singles chart in Japan. It has been compiled by Billboard and Hanshin Contents Link since February 2008.[1] The chart is updated on every Wednesday at billboard-japan.com(JST), and it is updated in the billboard.com(UTC) every Thursday.

The Japan Hot 100 Singles is based on U.S. Billboard Hot 100. It components CD package sales data from Soundscan Japan and radio audience levels data from Plantech. [1] Although Japan has the highest amount of downloads sold in the world, digital download sales data is not added to the chart.[citation needed]

The first number-one song on this chart was "Step and Go" by Arashi. On the May 5, 2008 chart, a non-Japanese song ("Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis) won number-one for the first time.
