Big White Tiger, LLC (Big White Tiger or BWT) is a private, alternative fuel and fuel additive supplier based in Arlington, Virginia. The company, founded in 2006, sells ethanol and biodiesel on a wholesale basis to both private companies and government entities. They also provide a wide range of fuel additive products that increase gas mileage, help keep engines clean, and/or improve diesel engine efficiency. Additionally, Big White Tiger sells biodiesel supplies and small-scale production equipment.

History

Big White Tiger was originally named Biodiesel Depot. In 2006 the company changed its name to reflect management's decision to expand the kind of products it provides. These products included ethanol, fuel additives and biodiesel processors.

In 2006, Big White Tiger, LLC became a Certified Woman Owned Business through the Virginia Department of Minority Business Enterprise.

In 2007, Big White Tiger installed the first biodiesel production equipment in a State prison. Now State vehicles used by Pocahontas Correctional Facility in Pocahontas , Virginia are powered by biodiesel made from cooking grease collected from the prison’s cafeteria[1]

In October 2007, Big White Tiger was featured in Biodiesel Magazine as an example of a successful niche player in the biodiesel industry[2]pdf file.

In June 2007, the Virginia Department of Transportation contracted with Big White Tiger to supply Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel to the Brunswick Correction Center in Lawrenceville, Virginia.

In 2007, Big White Tiger became an online distributor of FPPF additives, Lucus Oil Products, and SoyClean products.

In 2008 Big White Tiger became a distributor of the Green World Biofuels Ester Machine.
